Silverwood Central Railroad, Athol, ID

This railroad has been on my list of railroads to visit and I was finally able to on July 21, 2016. I had a work trip to Spokane, WA and I was able to visit Silverwood after work. It is an hour drive from Spokane.

The railroad is a large loop that starts in the Main Street area of the park and goes through the woods and over a bridge. The ride is very entertaining with a couple of scenes and a great commentary from the conductor/deputy. There is also a train robbery and stunt show at the halfway point that was a bit cheesy but it was well done and entertaining.

The park is gorgeous

and well taken care of. I did not see any trash and all of the walkways and buildings are in excellent condition. I am planning on taking the whole family here next year on a big road trip through the northwest.
